“R” with Crown Seal

This seal depicts a regal crest, consisting of a dexter (right) hand holding aloft the imperial Russian crown of the Romanov dynasty. Beneath the torse (or wreath) of the crest is an impressive Gothic capital letter “R.”

This seal is a jewelry-quality casting in bronze from the original seal, and the wood handle is turned in beautiful and incredibly durable black walnut, lightly finished. The original seal is an antique from the late nineteenth century, and was hand-engraved in purple alexandrite gemstone in the workshop of Carl Fabergé.
