Aphrodite Seal

The Greek goddess Aphrodite is depicted in her diaphanous gown holding up and admiring a poppy. One knee rests on a plinth which supports a vase containing three other poppies, about which flutter a butterfly and a dragonfly.

This seal is a jewelry-quality casting in bronze from the original seal, and the wood handle is turned in beautiful and incredibly durable black walnut, lightly finished. The original seal was etched in art deco crystal in the early twentieth century, artist unknown.
